Eagles win in three

After a slow start, Elma came alive for a sweep of Tenino 3-0 (28-26, 25-10, 25-14) in an Evergreen 1A League match on Thursday, Oct. 10, at Tenino.

Elma (4-2, 6-6) was led by 18 assists and 11 kills from Kenna Stoney. Ana Perez finished with 12 digs and multiple aces, while Kali Rambo brought up 11 digs.

“We started slow and then picked up our play and took care of business,” Elma’s Kendra Henry said. “Our energy was a big part of it as we started talking more and just had fun out there.”

Elma also won the JV match 16-25, 25-18, 15-7.
