FORKS — Quin Mikel pitched a one-hitter as Elma crushed Forks in an Evergreen 1A League softball game shortened to five innings by the mercy rule on April 18.
The Eagles scored in every inning in a contest interrupted by a couple of rain delays.
“Quin was able to pitch with a wet ball a little better than they did,” Elma coach Roger Elliott said. “We didn’t commit any errors and were able to hit the ball when we needed to.”
Kohlby Sayler had three hits, including a triple, and Corrina Torres added a double and single for the Eagles (3-1, 5-1).
The Eagles travel to Tenino on Tuesday.
