Montesano’s boys had three players score in double digits on its way to a 72-50 win over Castle Rock at home on Dec. 8.
Montesano got big contributions from L.J. Valley, who put up 21 points, and Sam Winter who had 20. Seth Dierkop and Trevor Ridgway put up 10 points each.
Montesano head coach Doug Galloway said he liked the way his team picked it up offensively in the second half.
“We played a lot better in the second half,” he said. “We had much better energy and ball movement and it led to some more open jumpers.”
Valley was a big part of the team’s offense as a passer as well and came away with six assists.
