Chokers go 1-3 at Simpson University duals in California

Grays Harbor College went 1-3 in a series of dual meets at Simpson University in Redding, Calif., on Saturday, Nov. 12. The Chokers defeated the host Red Hawks 36-14, but came up short against Sacramento City College, 33-21, Cerritos College, 30-22, and Fresno City College, 33-16.

The Chokers duel with Cerritos came down to the final match, but GHC lost the match and the duel.

Forfeits cost the Chokers against Sacramento City. GHC forfeited three matches, giving away 18 points in the dual.

GHC’s D.J. Morrow and Jimmy Jones both went 4-0 on the day, with Morrow winning all four matches by pin. Logan Sundheim went 3-1, while Christian Hill, Aaron Blanchard and Josh Pine all went 2-2.
