Joseph Lee Brown, age 72, born Sept. 1, 1944, to Robert and Amelia Brown in Elma, Wash. left this earth on March 24, 2017, at 11:20 a.m. in Olympia, Wash. Joseph grew up and went to school in Matlock and Satsop, Wash., finishing eighth grade. He also lived in Montesano, Malone and Elma, Wash. He married Lillian M. Luscier on Aug. 1, 1971, in Aberdeen, Wash. and accepted her six children as his own.
Joseph loved camping and fishing in various places in all weather. His hobby was collecting/repairing historic clocks, especially the ones with keys. He was his own mechanic as he loved taking apart and putting back together cars to get them running. It was well known that he loved his hamburger well done. He raised and loved many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He worked at Mary’s River Lumber in Montesano for 26 years.
Joseph is survived by his wife Lillian; children Narciso Lopez Jr., Olympia, Wash., Lorinda Treiber, Oak Harbor, Wash., Rebecca Lopez, Woodland, Wash., Annette Lopez, Belfair, Wash., Michael Lopez, Olympia, Wash., Barbara Lopez, Utah and Joseph W. Brown, Elma, Wash.; brother Wayne Brown, Aberdeen, Wash.; a sister Carol Kingery, Twisp, Wash. and numerous nieces and nephews and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Rhonda Brown.
A memorial service is scheduled for April 1, 2017, and will be held between the hours of 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at the Apostolic Wells of Living Water Church, 20 Matthews Road, Satsop, WA 98583 (Off of Keys Rd.).
