Jean Isabelle Miller-Everson passed away from natural causes on Monday, April 2, 2018, at her Montesano home.

Jean Isabelle Miller-Everson passed away from natural causes on Monday, April 2, 2018, at her Montesano home. She was 84. Jean was born on Valentine’s Day Feb. 14, 1934, to Edward and Inez (Allison) Shay in Tacoma, Wash. She later moved to the Grays Harbor area in the early 1950s.

Jean was married to Billy Joe Miller Sr. for many years until he passed away in 1994. They had seven children together. Jean then married Walter L. Everson on Sept. 23, 1997, in Reno Nev. Walter had five sons. Jean enjoyed many years of travelling, camping, bowling and playing card games with family and friends. Jean also enjoyed cooking and baking, doing ceramics, and being active in her community. She was a member of the Montesano Moose Lodge, Hoquiam Elks, Hoquiam March of Dimes, Hoquiam Lincoln School PTA, Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts.

She is survived by her husband Walter Everson of Montesano; daughter Sherry Latch; sons Billy Joe (Pearl) Miller, Steve (Tracy), John (Becci), Jeff (Suzanna), and Rick; step-sons Allen, Randy, and Brad Everson, and a brother Bob Shay; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jean was preceded in death by her first husband Billy Joe Miller Sr.; son Jim Miller, grandson Sonny Miller, stepsons Chuck and Rob Everson; sisters Gloria Krueger and Patsy Grimes; brothers Chet, Harry, and Don Shay.

Jean will be inurned at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 20, 2018, at Sunset Memorial Park in Hoquiam. A potluck celebration of life will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Montesano Moose Lodge.
