In loving memory of John A Bartosh
“In the quiet, you are there.”
Yolie Hagelfinn
John passed away at the age of 67 Nov. 1, 2019 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, Washington. John was born Nov.2, 1951 in Olympia, Washington. He would have been 68.
He graduated from Aberdeen High School in 1969. He was an avid wrestler. After graduating he went to work for Washington State Department of Natural Resources. He retired after working there 50+ years.
He loved the outdoors. He hunted and fished. He hunted in the Chelan Country for a few years with our dad. He also would visit Wisconsin to do bass and pike fishing with his favorite cousin, Rodger Sommerfeld. I believe his favorite place to spend time relaxing was Quinault, Washington.
He did travel to New Mexico also a favorite.
John was a very kind, gentle and generous person. He was respected by his many friends and family. John was fun and easy to be with growing up. I have so many happy and good memories.
John is survived by his wife, Cherie Roberts, Central Park, Washington. A daughter, Shelley (Keith) Berard of East County and their children Penelope, Jack and Max (John’s grandkids). His mother, Jeanne, of Tumwater, Washington. A sister, Kathleen Jacobson of Wisconsin. A niece, Kristy
Monahan, Redmond, Washington and her children Bryce and Abbie. A nephew Kenneth Jacoson of Aberdeen, Washington and a nephew Steven (Rene) Bartosh of Aberdeen, Washington and their children Lance and June.
John was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Bartosh, a brother, Steven Bartosh and a nephew
Kevin Jacobson.
There was no funeral at Johns request.
