Vertellus Performance Chemicals LLC, is the Greater Grays Harbor Inc. 2017 Business of the Month of February.
The company, formerly known as Ventron, has been providing jobs in Grays Harbor since 1975.
When asked what leadership means to them, Jim Beerbower said, “keeping the focus on environment, being good neighbors and safety all while making a quality product.”
Over the years the Elma site has pursued new opportunities for growth by diversifying their offerings.
The growth strategy has developed locally and globally. Specialty applications include the paper and pulp industries, the pharmaceutical markets, as well as other specialty chemical applications.
The international company has customers in more than 50 countries. Their employees work to maintain an award winning facility, while also giving back and serving the community they live in.
Collectively the employees serve more than 20 nonprofits and causes throughout Grays Harbor.
Beerbower said Greater Grays Harbor Inc. has been a strong partner for the company.
“Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. has been part of us developing business partners in Grays Harbor,” Beerbower said. “This is beneficial to us and to local business. Many of the repair shops, electrical, etc. have been important to our success and livelihood. We find Grays Harbor as a great location to do business.”
