The Saturday Morning Market returns this weekend to Montesano.
“Every Saturday in July and August there will be vendors in the park offering everything from retail shopping to farm fresh options,” said Kaela Ballew, president of the Montesano Chamber of Commerce, via email. “This year we have several special events lined up as well.”
The special events are a Dog Day, two Paint and Play days, Outdoor Day, Health Day, Swap Meet and the Kids Fest.
Dog Day will have pet-specific vendors from the area.
“We anticipate there will be a dog training display at that event as well as a costume contest for your pup,” Ballew said.
Health Day coincides with the Connections’ Color Run, which starts Aug. 10 in Fleet Park. The Color Run is a fundraiser for the child advocacy organization that aims to raise awareness of child sexual abuse. Local health providers will be on hand.
On Paint and Play days, a representatives from Home Depot will be on hand to help kids build a craft project to take home.
The Chamber also brings back Kids Fest the week of the Historic Montesano Car Show
“All of the variety makes it so there truly is something for everyone during this year’s market,” Ballew said.
The Saturday Morning Market is made possible with the help from Monte Internal Medicine, Danny’s Automotive, Five Star and Our Community Credit Union, Ballew said.
