Suspicious circumstance. 300 block W. Beacon Ave. 8:06 p.m. Male subject, 20s, dark hair, large ear gauges, tattoos, going door to door selling magazines. Says it is for a school fundraiser but reporting party is skeptical as subject looks older and it’s summer. Officer contacted subject who said he was done going door to door and that he was doing it as a job. Subject stated he was from Tacoma and he would not return to Montesano. He was advised he needed a permit as well.
Found property. 200 block S. Sylvia St. 9:28 p.m. Officer flagged down by resident who advised scooter dropped off in front of his house. Unknown who it belongs to. Scooter placed in evidence garage.
Fireworks. 700 block W. McBryde Ave. 11:04 p.m. Report of three shots from rifle were identified by another resident as fireworks.
July 14
Suspicion. 200 block E. Spruce Ave. 8:13 p.m. Contractors at construction site inside location. Both stated they thought they could be there. Site manager advised they were not to be there until morning. They were advised to return the next day.
Lost property. 100 block N. Main St. Reporting party lost his keys with multiple key chains including Seahawks and Mariners.
July 16
Disorderly conduct. 200 block E. Pioneer Ave. 11:35 a.m. Officer contacted female subject yelling at location. She was advised to go to bus mall and get a ride. Also advised she would be arrested for disorderly if she kept yelling and cursing.
Found property. 200 block E. Pioneer Ave. 4:29 p.m. Two keys on a ring found in parking lot in front of Valu Drug. Put into lost and found.
July 17
Subject stop. Fleet Park. 1:54 a.m. Group of people standing in street and on sidewalk. They were hunting Pokemon and were advised to stay out of streets.
Disorderly conduct. 200 block E. Pioneer Ave. 10:18 a.m. Female subject reportedly appears to be high on drugs near location, yelling and acting disorderly. Female subject arrested for disorderly conduct.
Suspicion. 200 block E. Pioneer Ave. 7:34 p.m. Female seen putting unknown object in planter. Dispatch explained to caller it may be a rock for “Grays Harbor Rocks” hunt. Officer located a painted rock, nothing out of ordinary.
July 18
Welfare check. 700 block E. Pioneer Ave. 12:12 a.m. Reporting party advised officer he had met female subject at the Aberdeen Subway a few days ago. Reporting party had been very lonely so he invited subject to stay with him. Subject now is acting odd and reporting party would like her checked on. Officer attempted contact with subject however she did not answer the door and officer could not see her in residence. Officer advised reporting party who said it was fine as he just wanted subject scared.
Criminal mischief. 200 block E. McBryde Ave. 8:05 a.m. Check of orange Volkswagen Bug, arrived sometime yesterday afternoon, unoccupied, window broken out, glass inside. Officer unable to contact registered owner but was able to contact the father who took valuables from inside vehicle for safekeeping.
Welfare check. 300 block N. Church St. 9:44 a.m. Female lying in practice field near tennis courts. Officer responded to scene. Witness advised female was seen walking down Academy Street. Officer unable to locate subject.
July 19
Disorderly conduct. 400 block W. Pioneer Ave. 5:41 p.m. Shoplift at Dennis Co. Employee said a man and woman came into store and man asked to use the phone. When the couple went to leave, alarm at door went off. The woman threw a flashlight on the ground. An employee picked it up and told them to step inside, they were going to call the police. Both jumped in a car and drove off. Possible license provided. Light was valued at $5. No items were believed to have been taken.
July 20
Traffic accident, hit and run. 100 block Brumfield Ave. 1 a.m. Subject hit gas pump and left. Subject later located and cited.
Suspicion. 500 block W. Cooper Ave. 5:21 p.m. Living room window had chip in it on outside that had recently occurred. Rocks consistent with gravel parking strip where found on table near the window facing Cooper. Unknown who was responsible for throwing rocks.
