Citizen assist. 300 block W. Waldrip St. 6:23 p.m. Reporting party thinks he left his keys hanging in the front door. Is in Olympia and just realized keys are not with him.
Sept. 22
Malicious mischief. 1500 block W. Anderson St. 5:56 p.m. Toyota pickup’s locked gas cap broken into and gas siphoned out. Back slider popped open and looks like attempted to pull cover off steering column.
Sept. 24
Suspicious person/circumstance. 300 block S. Second St. 12:38 a.m. White Ford Taurus with fogged up windows. Contacted driver who was asked to move along.
Animal problem. 100 block Hurd Road. 1:49 p.m. Secured lost dog in yard and secured broken gate.
Abandoned vehicle. 200 block W. Anderson St. Black Ford pickup in alley. Been there for four hours. Made contact with owner of vehicle who was unloading cement blocks from vehicle.
Sept. 25
Agency assistance. 300 block S. Fourth St. 9:54 p.m. Flame in window reported by neighbor. Occupants of residence said it was a candle flickering in the window.
Sept. 26
Suspicious person/circumstance. 1300 block W. Waldrip St. 11:35 a.m. Male subject dragging a suitcase up and down the street for the last week.
Sept. 28
Suspicious person/circumstance. 1000 block Oakhurst Drive. 9:30 a.m. Smell of rotten eggs in the air. Employees at gas station just filled a propane tank.
Agency assistance. 200 block N. F St. 1:29. 1:29 p.m. Known male subject was accidentally let out of jail. Went to location where last reported and a man answered the door. Asked to speak with male subject. Man said, “Hang on — I’ll get him.” He came back a few minutes later, pushed subject out the door and slammed it shut. Subject was returned to Department of Corrections.
Animal problem. 200 block E. Main St. Missing dog shown on video being taken from laundromat. Reporting party thinks people did not steal dog but assumed he was a stray since he wasn’t collared.
Sept. 30
Subject stop/field interview. 5700 block SR 12. 12:53 a.m. Female hitchhiking attempting to get to Lucky Eagle Casino.
Subject pursuit. South Sixth and Eaton streets. 9:20 a.m. Male subject running south behind apartments and over a fence. Unable to locate.
Animal problem. 1100 block W. Young St. Fawn colored pug missing. Found the black one that was missing while on phone.
Harassment. 300 block S. Third St. 4:04 p.m. Male with beard wearing letterman jacket becoming irate when people don’t give him money.
Juvenile problem. 300 block S. Third St. 8:41 p.m. Car full of juvenile males trying to get customers to buy tobacco for them.
Oct. 1
Animal problem. 600 block W. Anderson St. Two pitbulls in yard with their leashes wrapped around a tree. Neighbor said he lost the dogs last night and dogs were released to him.
Information report. Elma Police Station. 3:12 p.m. Caller said he knows of a person bragging about stealing 4-wheelers.

Unsecure premise. 100 block W. Anderson St. 12:17 a.m. Screen door open but main door secure.
Oct. 4
Theft. 1500 block W. Main St. 9:23 a.m. Found an extension cord running for trailer parked next door.
Information report. Elma Police Station. 5:21 p.m. Saw a person last night in a clown mask by Vance Creek or Elma Ponds.
Oct. 5
Suspicious person/circumstance. 400 block E. Young St. 12:06 p.m. Location is condemned but there is a car parked with several people including one who has a history of drug problems.
Theft. 200 block N. Division St. 12:24 p.m. Theft of snap-on portable air compressor from back of truck overnight.
Fraud/blackmail. 1000 block W. Martin St. 2:58 p.m. Bank statement showed three separate charges from three different cities. Bank requested customer file a police report.
