Chehalis Strategy deadline extended to Nov. 14

The Department of Ecology has extended the public comment period for the Chehalis Basin Strategy.

The public now has until Nov. 14 to submit comments about the Draft Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement released earlier this month.

On Oct. 27. the Department of Ecology will host an open house in Montesano beginning at 6 p.m. at City Hall. Public comments can be made after a short presentation.

The Chehalis Basin Strategy lists several options to mitigate flooding throughout the Chehalis River Basin, including a dam near Pe Ell. For details, visit the Chehalis Basin Strategy website, www.chehalisbasinstrategy.com.
