Carolyn Wescott joins Summit Pacific Board of Commissioners

Will complete term of Brent Meldrum.

Carolyn Wescott will replace Brent Meldrum on the Grays Harbor County Public Hospital District No. 1 Commission beginning June 1.

At an April 25 meeting, the Commission and hospital CEO Josh Martin interviewed two candidates for the job. A release send out May 1 states that Wescott will serve the remained of Meldrum’s term, which ends Dec. 31, 2021.

“Carolyn has served as a community member volunteer on our Quality Committee for several years and has participated in our Wellness Fair for as long as I can remember,” Board Chairman Andrew Hooper is credited as saying in the release. “She is passionate about improving the health of our community and about making Summit Pacific the best place to receive healthcare.”

Wescott is a 30-year member of the East County community and says she is “excited for this opportunity. I’m looking forward to serving our community as a member of the Summit team.”
