Ling Hong Schoch, a 2017 Montesano High School graduate and now a University of Washington freshman, is on the Husky Boxing team.

She, along with several seniors, qualified for the National Collegiate Boxing Association Tournament held April 5 and 6 at West Point, New York.

Schoch won her quarterfinal bout and was ahead on points in the semifinal bout, but an injury caused the referee to call a TKO for her opponent.

She competed in several sports during high school.
