Montesano’s second City Wide Garage Sale is set to take place this weekend, Aug. 18 to Aug. 20.

Registration for those wanting to be included in the sale on the official map ended Friday, Aug. 11. Event coordinator Kaela Plumb said that more than 25 registrations had been received by the cutoff date meaning there will be no shortage of sales on tap.

“I think this is one of the busier weekends of the summer for sales, probably in part because of the map,” Plumb said. “We have a wide variety of items.”

Most sales will begin at 9 a.m. on Aug. 18, but a few participants will open their sales at 8 a.m. Plumb said those holding sales are given the freedom to start and end at times convenient for them. Not all of the sales will be available on all three days with Plumb noting there are a few garage sales that won’t be open on Sunday.

Dates, times and locations for the sales are provided on the official map that can be picked up at Montesano’s Thriftway, Anchor Bank, Our Community Credit Union and Timberland Bank. The Montesano Chamber of Commerce will post the map to their Facebook page.

“A lot of them (sales) are really close together so they all will be really easy to get to,” Plumb said. “There’s really something for everybody.”
