Montesano, Elma drill teams shine at district championships

On March 3, two Harbor drill teams turned in excellent performances at the District 4 Championships in Vancouver, Washington.

Montesano High School’s team placed first in both 1A Pom and 1A Military competition. Elma High School’s team was a close second in both categories.

Elma Captain Alexa Templeton won first place in the 1A/2A/3A Drill Down. Montesano senior Syrene Stopsen was the third-place Drill Down medalist.

Both teams and their individual standouts will compete at the State Championships on March 24 at the SunDome in Yakima.
