• Pool table open to seniors at the Elma Senior Center, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

• Bingo is held at the Elma Senior Center on the second and fourth Thursdays.

• Sewing at the Elma Senior Center, 9 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

• GriefShare Meeting, at 7 p.m. on Thursdays at Montesano Church of God, 317 E. Spruce St. in Montesano.

• Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support group meetings held every third Tuesday, 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen (420 N. Broadway St.). For information call Helen Morning Star, (360) 533-2277.

• The Grays Harbor ACLU meets the third Wednesday of every month for a potluck at 6 p.m. at Events on Emerson (212 4th St. in Hoquiam).

• Olympic Area Agency on Aging presents every third Thursday of the month Family Caregivers Support Group. 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church (1296 Monte Elma Rd. in Elma). For more information call (360) 538-2458.

• Schafer Meadows Fiber Arts Guild holds a monthly meeting the second Wednesday of each month, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Elma. Bring a dish to pass. A potluck lunch will be held at noon. Open to the public.

• TOPS Club, Inc. WA 1522 has private weigh-in from 6 p.m.-6:30 p.m. every Thursday in the forestry meeting room at 310 W. Spruce Ave. (on the second floor). Meetings follow at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited. For more information call (360) 581-3835.

At the libraries

• McCleary Timberland Library will host play groups for children birth to age 6 with an adult. Arrival and departure times are flexible. Wednesdays, 10:30- 11:30 a.m. April 11 and 25.

• Elma Timberland Library presents family storytime Wednesdays, 10:30-11:30 a.m., through April 25. All ages. Children must be accompanied by a participating adult. Bilingual storytime will run Thursdays, 4-4:30 p.m. through April 26.

• Oakville Timberland Library will host “storytime anytime” through March 29. Drop into the library and ask a staff member to read a story.

• Indoor Swap Meet 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds and Events Center in Elma. Also on April 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Find that one of a kind treasure.

• The Friends of Schafer and Lake Sylvia will host a hike and wild flower walk at Lake Sylvia State Park 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Bring a Discover Pass or buy one at the park.

• Oakville Timberland Library presents Maker Station Madness, for children grades first to sixth. Build your skills. All materials provided.

Entertainment

• Montana’s Chinook Winds wind quintet at the Bishop Center at 2 p.m. All tickets $10. Age 12 and under free.

• Sunday Afternoon Live at the Raymond Theatre at 2 p.m. Pianist Steven Vanhauwaert will perform.

Tuesday, April 10

• McCleary Timberland Library presents Crafternoon, 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., for adults. Enjoy a fun filled hour of art and craft projects. All supplies and instructions included.

• Montesano W. H. Abel Memorial Timberland Library presents LEGO club, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., for children grades first through sixth.

• Elma Timberland Library presents Teen Game Day, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Hang out with friends and play on the new Xbox. Also food and crafting with duct tape.

Events

• State Parks Free Day. Visit any state park without a Discover Pass for a day-use visit.

• McCleary Timberland Library presents Saturday Matinees, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. For all ages. Movies at the library on the big screen. Bring a comfy pillow and bottled water. Popcorn provided.

• Oakville Timberland Library presents Maker Station Madness, grades first through sixth. Build your skills. All materials provided.

Meetings

• Grays Harbor Genealogical Society will meet at 10 a.m. at the Hoquiam Timberland Library meeting room. Dick Moody will present the second half of his program researching veterans’ records.

• Montesano Bulldog Band Boosters will hold its annual Jazz and Desserts concert, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Montesano Junior/Senior High School commons. Desserts will be auctioned during the Montesano High School Jazz Band performance.
