The Elma City Council has canceled its meeting next week over an abundance of caution concerning the coronavirus outbreak.

The decision on the meeting for Monday, March 16, “was made by the Mayor after consultation with the City Attorney, review of the Agenda for the meeting,” a release from the city states.

Earlier this month, the state Office of the Attorney General advised that meetings not be held if agenda items didn’t require immediate action and could be acted upon at the next meeting.
