DUI alcohol or drugs. 300 block S. Main St. 2:02 p.m. Officer contacted male subject who was in his vehicle with seat laid back. Keys were in his pocket. Officer offered ride home and subject agreed. Later the same day, subject made his way back to vehicle. Officer advised him he was too intoxicated to retrieve his vehicle. PBT showed over legal limit. Subject thanked officer and walked home.
Oct. 3
Fraud/swindle/confidence game. 500 block S. West End Place. 11:35 a.m. Manager of property for rent at location. Someone has copied the listing on Craigslist and is asking someone to send them money in exchange for key. Reporting party has talked with Craigslist to have listing removed. No money sent. Information only.
Fraud/swindle/confidence game. 700 block W. Byles Ave. 3:18 p.m. Calling party received voicemail allegedly from “US Treasury” stating something about a Grand Jury appearance. Advised it was a scam and told calling party to not give any information.
Suspicion. 800 block E. Elma Ave. 12:10 p.m. Calling party reports seeing an older white truck with chipped paint pulling into apartment complex near dumpster. Finding the dumpster full, truck went to dumpster at Vessey Field. Two occupants began unloading all their garbage into dumpster. When they saw calling party walking towards them, they stopped. Partial plate number obtained. Calling party advised she would call dispatch if she saw the activity again.

Criminal mischief. 100 block W. Pioneer Ave. 7:30 a.m. Truck window was broken out overnight.
Oct. 5
Suspicious circumstance. 200 block W. Pioneer Ave. 6:54 a.m. Older male carrying cup of coffee stated he just wanted out of rain and entered through back door white reporting was taking pallets out. Male subject refused to leave until reporting party called police. Officer unable to locate.
