Nate Johnson led a trio of low-scoring Montesano golfers as the Bulldogs earned a 169-181 victory over La Center on Friday at Oaksridge Golf Course.
Johnson took the medalist of the match honors by shooting the only sub-40 score for the 9-hole round with a 39. He was closely followed by teammates Ben Wills and Ben Royer, who shot a 40 and 41, respectively.
Dylan Schoch was the fourth Monte golfer to shoot a sub-50 score, carding a 49 for the round.
Montesano takes on league-rival Hoquiam at 3:30 this afternoon at Oaksridge Golf Course.

Nate Johnson, Ben Royer and Ben Willis all shot sub-45 9-hole rounds as Montesano won the Oct. 1 three-team match at Tri-Mountain Golf Course over La Center and Seton Catholic.
Johnson had the lowest score of the day with a 40 with Royer (41) and Willis (42) not far behind him on the leaderboard.
Monte hosts La Center at 3:30 today at Oaksridge Golf Course.
