Grays Harbor County Fair attendance was down a bit Thursday after Wednesday’s opening.
Fair organizers said 10,585 people visited the fair Thursday, several hundred more that last year’s attendance on the same day.
“County star, Lorrie Morgan, brought in a stronger senior crowd,” fair manager Mike Bruner said in an email. “Going in to Friday, we are 1,669 above the 2018 mark and on pace to challenge for an attendance record. We are hoping the weather stays good through Sunday to help us in that regard.”
Wednesday’s attendance was the second-highest on record with 11,462.
Fair hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Adult admission is $10, seniors 62 and older $7, kids age 6-15 $7, and kids age 5 and younger get in free. The front and pavilion gates will allow fairgoers to pay for admission using credit or debit cards.
Today (Friday) is Grays Harbor PUD Day. Local country-rock band Humptulips will perform at 7 p.m. on the Pepsi Stage. Also performing today is Kynan Shane at 4 p.m. on the Jodesha Kids Zone Stage. The Talent Show begins at 6 p.m. on the Custom Security Stage.
