Pre-K/Kindergarten enrollment at end of month

April 23 through April 27

The Montesano School District preschool and kindergarten priority open enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year is scheduled for April 23 through April 27.

A link will be available on the Montesano School District website www.monteschools.org beginning April 23 to enroll new students using the Skyward Family Access system.

A legal birth certificate and a current immunization record are required at the time of enrollment for all students. The application and required documents must be received by 4 p.m. on April 27, 2018 to be eligible for priority placement.

Preschool

The primary purpose of the preschool program is to serve students with special needs. A developmental preschool for 3- and 4-year-olds is available to qualifying children with delays in communication, social/emotional, adaptive, cognitive, and/or physical development.

Limited preschool spots are also available to typically developing community peer model students and income eligible students as part of ECEAP (Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program).

The district is expecting to be able to accept fewer community students than in the past.

To be eligible, a student must be four years of age prior to Sept. 1, 2018 and reside within the Montesano School District boundaries.

If more students register for community preschool than there are available spots, students will be selected by lottery. Community preschool tuition is $85 per month. A sliding fee scale is available. There is no cost for preschool students enrolled in ECEAP or special education.

Kindergarten

To be eligible for kindergarten, a student must be five years of age prior to September 1, 2018. Full-day kindergarten is offered to all students free of charge.
