Kaylan Forbis recently was brought on as a real estate agent at Premier Realty in Montesano.
Forbis stated his excitement in a press release from the company:
“I am a longtime resident of Grays Harbor, born in Aberdeen and raised on the coast in Westport.
He received his Associates of Arts at Grays Harbor College, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice at Washington State University. Immediately following college, Forbis moved to the city to pursue a career in law enforcement. In that short time, he realized what Grays Harbor has to offer, he said, and “the feeling of missing home sunk in.”
“It has always been in my longterm plan to give back to the community that helped raise me,” Forbis said. “Real estate has offered me that opportunity by allowing me to assist incoming residents and Grays Harbor natives (like myself) in buying or selling their homes. To me, it isn’t just as simple as buying and/or selling a home; it is changing the course of an individual’s/families life. For me to have an impact on that is a big honor, and I take pride in that.”
Forbis is a supporter of youth sports in the area.
“Ever since I was in grade school at Ocosta Elementary I’ve always had a passion for sports,” he said. “Like myself, I’ve found that sports for a lot of youth are a release from reality, a freedom. I currently referee and umpire high school sports in Grays Harbor, assist with youth development at the YMCA of Grays Harbor and plan on mentoring youth in the future.”
