Suspicion. 800 block W. McBryde Ave. 4:32 p.m. Reporting party was frustrated that certain crimes had not been reported to the newspapers. She had some mail stolen and never reported it.
Subject stop. North River Street at East Spruce Avenue. 5:12 p.m. Subject works for a roofing company. Says he is not selling anything only giving out free information. He was advised to get a Montesano business license if he is going to continue in the city limits.
Code violation. 500 block S. West End Place. 9:03 p.m. Silver or gold Chevrolet pickup truck dumping tree limbs and brush on vacant lot that is posted no dumping. Officer contacted parties. Truck was full of ivy vines and other natural debris. Where the truck pulled in was clearly posted no dumping. Subject stated he thought it was OK. Officer showed him the sign that he drove by to get to where he was dumping. Had subjects pick up all the debris they had already pushed out and put it back in truck. Subjects were told not to dump again in the future.
Oct. 5
Suspicious circumstances. 500 block Kennaston Ave. 11:49 a.m. Reporting party called from Idaho and wanted a check on a residence she used to live in and is currently going through a sale process with a bank. The bank told her an evaluation could not be done on the property because there was someone living in the house. Office checked the house and all doors and windows were locked and secure. The house appeared to be empty. A neighbor stated people have been in and out of the house, but he hasn’t seen anyone in over a week.
Oct. 6
Traffic hazard. East Pioneer Avenue at South Sylvia Street. 12:39 p.m. Signs clearly posted that road is closed for construction, but vehicles still driving down both directions. Reporting party concerned it will cause accident. Extra patrols to be conducted.
