Montesano youth recently participated in a local football camp organized and run by Montesano High School football coaches and players.
The camp was held over two days earlier this week and was open to first- through sixth-graders.
During the camp, the kids cycle through stations where they do passing, running, ball-carrying, receiving and blocking drills, and there is a punt, pass, and kick contest for each age group.
The camp is a “kick off” for the Montesano Youth Football season and also serves as the first two days of practice for the kids.
On Tuesday, memorabilia from Adam Bighill, a former Montesano High School Bulldog who now plays for the New Orleans Saints, was given away to the kids.
