• Montesano High School will hold its annual Veterans Day assembly at 9 a.m. The assembly will be preceded by breakfast for veterans beginning at 8:30 a.m. All veterans are welcome. RSVP at aekerson@monteschools.org or call (360) 249-4041.
• Elma High School’s Veterans Day assembly will be held at 10:30 a.m. Guests are invited to park in the reserved area at the west staff parking area.

Events
• Montesano VFW Post 2455 will hold a Veterans Day service at 11 a.m. at Fleet Park (if raining, service will be held at the post at 315 S. Main Street). Potluck will follow. All ages welcome.
• Elma Veterans’ Day parade at 1 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Elma with memorial service at Veterans Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Veterans’ Day luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Elma Grange (Fourth and Waldrip). Cost for lunch is $5 or free for parade participants.

• Musical “James and the Giant Peach” at the Bishop Center for Performing Arts at Grays Harbor College, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 adults, $12 seniors, $10 students and $6 for children ages 12 and under. Also on Saturday, Nov. 12. Matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13.

• Montesano Chamber of Commerce honors the local agricultural community at the annual Farm City Dinner, with social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner following at 6 p.m. Event includes dinner, live music and recognition awards. Sponsor a farm family with a $40 donation. Tickets are $20 per person.
