Keating runs away with district championship
The model of consistency, Elma’s Lauryn Keating made a second district championship look easy.
With her second consecutive even-par 72, the Elma junior rolled to an 18-stroke victory in the District IV Class 1A Girls Golf Tournament on May 20 at the Capitol City Golf Course.
Not only did Keating match par in every round, she did so on each nine. The nine-hole totals were 36-36-36-36 for a 144 total.
Woodland’s Faith Udy was a distant second at 162 and Woodland’s Kaitlynn Troyer an even more distant third at 196.
