April 3

Vehicle prowl. 1100 Block of Monte Elma Road, Satsop; 7:08 a.m. ash tray full of change stolen; as well as expensive items in car.

Burglary. Glenn Road, Montesano; 12:19 p.m. Suspects posing as renters broke into property.

Burglary. Monte Brady Road, Montesano; 2:11 p.m. A homeowner interrupted the burglary. He told police he heard noises from the front of his house and armed himself with a .40 caliber pistol. He allegedly found the 30-year-old man inside his house. The suspect pleaded with the home owner not to shoot him and then convinced him to come outside and see that he had a pregnant girlfriend. The homeowner went outside and saw the woman in the truck, along with the 23-year old man, who he initially thought was a woman, but turned out to be a guy. As the homeowner tried to call 911 on his cell phone, the 30-year-old man allegedly attacked him and wrestled the gun away. The gun went off twice during the struggle, but no one was injured. All three suspects were arrested a week later.

Theft of vehicle. 1100 Block of Highway 12, Montesano; 5:47 p.m. Blue 1988 Mazda stolen.

April 6

Burglary. 300 Block of Monte Brady Road, Montesano; 7:01 a.m. Burglary to outbuildings on the property; occurred overnight. Forced entry of windows. Buildings have been entered.

Suspicious circumstance. 700 Block of Arland Place, Montesano; 1:28 p.m. Has physical evidence of an attempted gas siphoning. Not sure what scared the suspect off, but gas can and siphoning hose were left behind next to vehicle.

April 7

Theft. 800 Block of Englund Avenue, Montesano; 6:17 a.m. Someone smashed window overnight and stole chainsaw from truck.

Vehicle prowl. 100 Block of Clemons Road, Montesano; 7:06 a.m. Vehicles prowled overnight. Wallet and other items stolen.

Assault with a knife. Camp Creek Road, Montesano; 4:24 p.m. Son is freaking out, has a knife in hand; concerned will hurt himself or the caller. Later, taken into custody.

Vehicle prowl. 100 Block of Clemons Road, Montesano; 4:02 p.m. Locked vehicle prowled overnight. No damage done to vehicle.

April 8

Vehicle prowl. Clemons Road, Montesano; 4:39 p.m. Purse being stolen out of car two night ago.
