Feb. 20

Suspicious person. 300 Block of Monte Elma Road, Montesano; 8:59 a.m. Male subject walking in ditch westbound packing chainsaw over his shoulder; appears odd, concerned due to recent burglaries and thefts.

Feb. 21

Burglary. 200 Block of Garden Hill Road East, Elma; 8:15 p.m. Came home to fund door unlocked, possible items missing.

Citizen assist. Barrett Road, Montesano; 11:35 p.m. Caller says he’s trapped in his corvette. Wife has the key inside the house and her phone is dead. Tried honking horn. It’s a new vehicle and can’t get the doors to open from the inside. He was going to sleep in the car, but he says it’s getting cold. Deputy arrives to get him out of car.

Feb. 22

Traffic accident. Aldergrove Drive at Devonshire Road, Montesano; 12:45 a.m. Unoccupied vehicle off the road, on railroad. Railroad company advised.

Traffic accident. Devonshire at Katon Road, Montesano; 7:40 a.m. Vehicle wrecked overnight; beer cans found around vehicle. No people found.

Feb. 23

Malicious Mischief. 500 Block of Monte Elma Road, Montesano; 11:03 a.m. Vandalism to two fences the previous night. T-shirt left behind.

Feb. 25

Burglary. Buckingham Lane, Elma; 10:27 a.m. Shed burglarized, locks cut to gain entry, occurred in the morning.

Burglary. 500 Block of Porter Creek Road, Elma; 11:07 a.m. Burglarized again, while waiting for deputy to report on the first burglary.

Burglary. 500 block of Monte Elma Road; 1:39 p.m. House broken into, was just gone three hours. TV missing.

Suspicious person. 700 Block of Delezenne Road, Elma; 3:13 p.m. At one-way bridge, white pickup hiding in the brush. Possible maple theft in progress.

Feb. 26

Burglary. 500 Block of Monte Elma Road, Montesano; 1:46 p.m. Storage unit burglazrized, theft of batteries out of vehicle.

Suspicious person. 1200 Block of Monte Elma Road, Elma; 2:21 p.m. Blue car driving around the neighborhood. Deputy discovers it’s the “mole man,” trying to take care of moles.

Disorderly conduct. Rolling Hills Lane, Elma; 6:03 p.m. 48-year-old female “having a psychotic break, stripping off clothes, telling and acting crazy.” Woman keeps trying to say something, but nothing is making sense.

Burglary. Capitol Ridge Road, Oakville; 5:29 p.m. Residence broken into. Numerous handguns taken.
