July 31

Theft. 1000 Block of South Bank Road, Elma; 6:26 p.m. Someone stole fishing rods from boat parked on property.

August 1

Suspicious circumstance. Powers Creek Road, Elma; 1:50 p.m. A home that was foreclosed on two years ago and sits empty is now missing the large metal gate in front of it and the garage doors.

August 3

Burglary. Remmen Road, Elma; 12:17 p.m. Someone came in and stole tools, DVD player. No forced entry.

Animal problem. Elma Gate Road E., Oakville; 12:26 p.m. Neighbors’ animals keep escaping and eating his garden. It’s an ongoing problem. Neighbor also inflicts “verbal abuse about their duck,” the report states.

Trespassing. Cloquallum Road at Elma McCleary Road; 1:51 p.m. After tripping on railroad tracks, a juvenile is bleeding heavily from the head. Puget Sound & Pacific Railroad notified of incident. Juvenile transported to hospital.

August 4

Suspicious person. Barrett Road, Montesano; 11:38 a.m. A suspicious person approached offering to sell construction supplies at a deep discount. Thinks it’s a scam.

Suspicious person (or… Sasquatch?). South Bank Road, Oakville; 9:24 p.m. In the past 30 minutes, “something on two legs walked toward respondent’s home, unknown if a human or what,” according to a report with the Sheriff’s Office. “Has been happening like this for about four to five years. Can only describe it as tall, dark. Unable to tell further due to the distance and it being night. At one point, it stood watching the residence.” Calling from a neighbor’s house; “just spooked.”

August 5

Weapons offense. Schouweiler Road, Satsop; 4:17 p.m. Female walking around the trailer park with a .22-caliber rifle with sights trying to shoot respondent’s cats. Cat has been sickened but is being treated. Cat has been missing since the day before.

August 6

Burglary. Ash Road, Satsop; 9:02 a.m. Burglary to garage and basement; still sorting through what’s missing. Suspect entered through a window.

August 9

Burglary. 600 Block of 13th Street, Elma; 7:52 p.m. Home was burglarized earlier in the day; broke in through window. Jewelry boxes missing.

August 10

Suspicious person. 32 Elma McCleary Road, Grays Harbor County Fairgrounds; 8:25 p.m. Male subject is videotaping people at the fair. Caller advises the subject is pointing it at small children. Police contact subject and find he is a private investigator.

August 11

Burglary. Ash Road, Satsop; 5:33 p.m. Burglary to garage again. Meat taken from freezer and cell phone from vehicle.

Assault. Paradise Avenue, Malone; 1:37 a.m. Son is being assaulted by at least three people. Dispatch hears screaming in the background and a female yelling about Taekwondo. No weapons involved.

August 14

Dangerous Dog. 100 block of Brady Loop Road E., Montesano; 11:02 a.m. There’s an ongoing problem with an aggressive dog that keeps running around the neighborhood. It bit a child this morning.

Noise ordinance. Evans Lane, Elma; 1:19 p.m. Ongoing problems with neighbors’ kids riding their ATVs into the night.
