Trespass, Murray Place, Elma, 8:31 a.m.: Caller reports finding a wet footprint just inside a wide-open door. The caller has just returned from taking her children to school but doesn’t see anything missing. She said the door was locked when she left.
Assault, Simple, Murray Place, Elma, 3 p.m.: Caller reports a teacher threw something at the caller’s granddaughter. It is the second time it happened, and caller has pictures.
Harassment, W. Broadway Ave., Montesano, 3:32 p.m.: Caller reports a voice mail was left by an unknown woman. The woman said she was from a local newspaper and wanted to know why testimony was left out of a person’s court proceedings. There was no woman by that name at the newspaper, and the caller said the court advised calling law enforcement to report the incident.
Extra Patrols, Porter Creek Road, Elma, 8:23 p.m.: Caller reports seeing someone looking into vehicles at the boat launch this morning. Caller was advised to call while it is occurring in the future. Extra patrols were requested.
Controlled Substance Problem, Market Street, Satsop, 2:23 p.m.: Report of a car occupied by a man and a woman by a home in which the residents are not present. The caller believes they are there to buy meth, because the house has drug activity. The people were found to be friends of the property owner waiting for a jump start.
Friday, Nov. 30
Suspicious Person, Highway 12, Montesano, 1:57 a.m.: An unknown man in a green truck reportedly has been following the caller’s vehicle for some time. The caller stopped at an area convenience store and saw the green truck nearby, but the driver of the truck apparently did not see the caller or attempt to follow him any more.
Overdose, Hicklin Road, Elma, 1:08 p.m.: A teenage boy reportedly overdosed on sleeping pills intentionally. The caller attempted to wake him up after she received a call notifying her of a text he sent a friend saying “good bye.” The boy is semi-conscious and breathing. He has been depressed lately but has not done this in the past. Aid was notified.
Lost Animal, Mox Chehalis Road, McCleary, 11:19 a.m.: Report of a missing adult male walker hound and an adult female German shepherd since Friday, Nov. 23.
Saturday, Dec. 1
Driving Complaint, South Bank Road at Delezenne Road, Elma, 7:57 p.m.: Caller said her friend was following her earlier today and reported her as a DUI. The caller said she wasn’t a DUI and wished it passed along to a deputy. She wished to explain to him that she was not driving under the influence at the time she was driving and said she heard her name and vehicle description over the scanner.
Traffic Hazard, Wynooche Valley Road, Montesano, 7:13 a.m.: Report of a mudslide blocking the northbound lane.
Sunday, Dec. 2
Suspicious Circumstance, Willis Road, Montesano, 2:27 a.m.: Report of two sets of headlights on the road with people carrying flashlights, possibly looking for scrap metal. The people were hunters with headlamps on their heads to help set up gear.
Monday, Dec. 3
Found Animals, Devonshire Road, Montesano, 12:52 p.m.: Report of two light brown Labrador retrievers without collars on the side of the road in the area. The caller was concerned they had been dumped.
Disorderly Conduct, Meadowood Drive, Elma, 3:24 a.m.: Caller reports her husband has been drinking all night and is yelling and banging on her door. She fears for her life. The caller said her husband locked himself in his room to sleep it off and all is well now.
Burglary, Union Road, Elma, 4:08 p.m.: Caller reports the home was burglarized since 7 a.m. today. A shotgun, laptop and tablet was missing. The caller is certain the back door was dead-bolted when they left, but arrived to find it unlocked. No suspect information was given.
Traffic Hazard, Monte Elma Road, Satsop, 11:24 p.m.: Report of an intoxicated man riding a bicycle, swerving into traffic.
Animal Problem, Wynooche Valley Road, Montesano, 1:23 p.m.: Report of wild cattle in the caller’s area, owned by a neighbor. The owner reportedly charges people to hunt them, but the caller is concerned because she does not want people showing up to hunt the wild cattle and shooting hers. The department will contact the cattle owner tomorrow.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
Animal Problem, Monte Brady Road, Montesano, 11:43 a.m.: Caller reports hitting a pig on the road Sunday. The caller is concerned it was a part of a feral pig colony.
Fraud/Swindle/Confidence Game, South Bank Road, Elma, 6:07 a.m.: Caller reports that someone fraudulently charged more than $2,100 to her son’s American Express card, with several other charges pending. Her son had helped a woman pay her phone bill once, and the woman’s name is on the charges.
Animal-Dangerous Dog, Monte Elma Road, Elma, 3:11 p.m.: An aggressive dog reportedly was approaching a law enforcement dog. A deputy spoke with the dog owner, who said his grandchild had been walking the dog.
Wednesday, Dec. 5
Suspicious Person, Central Park Drive at Devonshire Road, Montesano, 8:53 p.m.: A white truck parked, with a man throwing out garbage onto the ground near the truck was reported. The sheriff’s office determined it appeared as if someone threw a deer carcass onto the shoulder, and some fast food trash came out with it.
Animal-Neglect, Fairbairn Road, Montesano, 3:56 p.m.: Report of a “skinny” horse locked in a woodshed on the property, visible from the road. The department is aware of the horse and has checked on it twice in the past month. The horse was checked again; it is still thin, but has plenty of water and hay available. The stall is clean, but is small. No one was home. The department will re-check and speak with the owner.
Thursday, Dec. 6
Traffic Accident With Damage, Highway 12 at Devonshire Road, Montesano, midnight: A vehicle hit the median and left debris on the roadway. The driver was not injured.
Traffic Accident, Murray Place, Elma, 8:45 p.m.: Caller reports that his ex-wife accidentally backed into his vehicle while trying to leave. She peeled out because she was upset, but he doesn’t believe she was trying to cause damage to his vehicle.
Theft, Elma McCleary Road, Elma, 9:06 p.m.: Caller reports a stack of wood was taken between Sunday and Thursday. Caller believes it may have been a relative next door, and he’s already confronted them about it.
Friday, Dec. 7
Weapons Offense, Devonshire Road, Montesano, 9:37 p.m.: Caller reports hearing two gunshots from behind the house and horse field. Caller believes a neighbor who “drinks,” is drinking and shooting.
Assault, Simple, Monte Elma Road, Elma, 2:04 p.m.: Caller reports receiving second-hand information that the caller’s son was assaulted by a parent chaperone at the school. The chaperone reportedly grabbed the child on the face, and the child pulled away, leaving a mark on his face. The school has photos of the incident.
