Agency assistance. Officer called to check location of dark red Dodge Caravan, possibly involved in a hit and run. Vehicle not found at reported location, East Elma Avenue, but was later found at residence at 4:21 p.m.
Suspicious persons. 100 block of West Pioneer Avenue, 9:41 p.m. Several juveniles reported running through the area, currently walking on Wynooche next to sales lot. Officers unable to locate juveniles.
Suspicious person. 100 block of North Academy Street, 11:01 p.m. A visible light is on at a vacant home and a curtain seems to be moving. No one was seen in home. Officers checked and found no one at the location.
Criminal mischief. 300 block of East Pioneer Avenue, 3:33 p.m. Car had tires slashed since previous night. Officers note rear driver side tire had been cut with a knife. No suspects at this time, and time of occurrence is undetermined.
Agency assistance. 100 block of South 7th Street, 1:09 p.m. Officer responded to an aid call of a fall victim who was bleeding from a gash on their head. Response was with Montesano Fire Department.
Animal problem. 100 block of East Park Avenue, 1:34 p.m. A call was received about a stray cat that was entering through a cat door and spraying everywhere. The caller asked for its removal. Caller was provided information for such assistance.
Agency assistance. 900 block of East Elma Avenue, 3:38 p.m. Large amount of smoke billowing from area of new apartment complex. Investigation proved to be a controlled brush burn.
Suspicious circumstance. Spruce and Sylvia, 8:11 p.m. Suspicious older van with ladders and curtains parked for seven to eight days in front of a church. Police attempted to contact owner, all numbers disconnected. Vehicle was tagged for dayshift to follow up on.
Disorderly conduct. Pioneer and Sylvia, 11:36 a.m. A male subject who was causing problems at several area businesses was provided a ride to Aberdeen.
Theft from vehicle. 800 block of North 7th Street. A purse and wallet had been gone through, the vehicle was unlocked. The occurrence was estimated to happen the previous night. Extra patrols were requested.
Harassment. 800 block of East Kamilche Avenue. Citizen reported that she had been contacted by a male via Facebook. She noted that she had changed her phone number, but wanted police to have information of the continued contact.
Disorderly conduct. 100 block of South Chehalis Street, 1:05 a.m. Two males reported intoxicated and banging on windows. Contact with the individuals convinced police that they would stay away from location and return home.
Noise complaint. 700 block of Medcalf Street, 10:05 p.m. A noise complaint was registered about individuals outside talking and cussing. After contact the individuals advised they would quiet down.
Alarm. 100 block of East Pioneer Avenue, 10:14 p.m. No one was at location of an alarm triggered from a back door. The building was found secure.
Suspicious circumstance. 200 block of East Broadway Avenue, 7:42 p.m. A vehicle parked at the location seemed to have its windshield broken from the inside, no one has been around the vehicle. After checking the vehicle police determined that it was parked legally and found no issues.
Alarm. 400 block of E. Wynooche Avenue, 11:22 p.m. An audible alarm with a visible flashing light was called to the attention of police. Investigation proved that the location was secure, cause for the alarm was undetermined.
Suspicious people. 500 block of South 1st Street. Two male individuals attempted to sell an EBT card. A description of vehicle and direction of travel was provided for police. Individual was advised to call again if the two men returned.
Animal incident. South Blakeley Street and East Park Avenue, 12:49 p.m. Caller reported a dog bite from a Boxer type dog. There was physical evidence of bite marks on her calf. Aid was refused, but gave location of work for any additional follow-up.
Found property. 100 block of North 6th Street, 8:07 a.m. Black and red hiking back pack found in the middle of the street. Markings include West Coast Search Dog patch with the names Nabel and Gowens. Item was placed in lost and found.
Theft of property. 700 block of West McBryde Avenue, 11:46 a.m. Reported theft of a 50 foot Goodyear hose taken from side of home. Value of $35.
Disorderly conduct. South Chehalis Street and East Elma Avenue, 3:04 p.m. Females physically fighting. One party was storing items at the home of the other and had stopped in to pick them up. When the first party was asked to leave the residence, she refused and a fight broke out. Both parties advised that there had been no injuries and that charges would not be pressed. Police stayed on the scene until the first party was able to collect her items and leave.
Found property. 300 block of West Marcy Avenue, 10:50 a.m. Keys on a hedgehog key chain were found and placed in the lost and found.
Welfare check. 800 block of East Park Avenue, 7:27 p.m. A 29-year old male was out of control and threatening suicide. A woman at the location said that the man had raised his fist to her and said “life was not worth living”. The woman confirmed that the man did not have access to weapons, but wished to go to stay with family in Yakima with the children.
The mother was allowed to leave with children and advised on legal protection order process.
Disorderly conduct. 300 block of South Main Street, 10:47 p.m. Intoxicated patrons from a bar were in front of lodge and had started being verbal with patrons of the lodge. Individuals were escorted home by friends, causing no further incident.
Harassment. 400 block of South 3rd Street, 4:50 p.m. A vehicle was repeatedly driving past a residence at a high rate of speed and honking their horn each time. A description of the truck was given but the resident did not have contact information of the individual.
Disorderly conduct. 500 block of South 1st Street, 7:37 p.m. A cab driver was witnessed urinating on the side of a building. A description of the driver and direction of travel was provided to the police.
Disorderly conduct. 500 block of East Elma Avenue, 8:56 p.m. A report of a man “flipping out” in the alley between Chehalis and Academy Streets was found a block away. Investigation into the situation found that the male had been in an argument with his girlfriend, but had left the situation. No injuries were reported to those involved.
Criminal mischief. 400 block of West Spruce Avenue, 5:47 a.m. Report of an egging during the night. Caller had one egg that had not broken against the tent that they had been in during the incident, have it available to police if they need it.
Suspicious activity. Beacon Avenue, 3:45 p.m. A teenaged male was noticed carrying around a handgun. Upon investigation the gun was a realistic air-soft gun. Police advised the man to find a better location to practice.
Burglary. 100 block of Broadway Avenue, 2:56 p.m. The rear door of a business was noticed open, with further investigation a front glass panel was broken, with various other damage to interior doors. A restitution form was left with the owner.
Suspicious activity. 300 block of North Sylvia Avenue, 7:20 a.m. A citizen called into police to report a solicitation they had received over the phone to make a donation to law enforcement. The caller was advised that the police were not making those calls.
Trespassing. 600 block of East Pioneer Avenue, 2:59 p.m. A tenant called to advise that another tenant was visiting, was intoxicated, and would not leave. After police talked to the visitor, she agreed to leave and return to her own apartment.
Disorderly conduct. 100 block of East Pioneer Avenue, 5:02 p.m. A man was intoxicated and attempting to pick fights with others in the business. The man was kicked out but remained outside the business. Police escorted the man to the bus mall and waited for him to catch a bus.
Disorderly conduct. 500 block of East Elma Avenue, 7:03 p.m. A male and female were reported yelling and screaming at each other, noting that this is an ongoing problem. Police arrived to separate the two, and determined it was just a verbal argument.
Criminal mischief. 700 block of West Marcy Avenue, 9:01 p.m. A resident arrived home to find that their front door glass had been broken. It appeared that no one had entered the home, but had possibly broken the glass when knocking. The resident later advised police that money from inside the residence was missing.
Harassment. 400 block of West Spruce Avenue, 9:40 a.m. Caller wanted police to look into a possible harassment over Facebook, by an individual re-posting items from their account. Police advised that the simple solution was to stop using the service, and that re-posting on the Internet was not real harassment.
Criminal mischief. 300 block of East Broadway Avenue, 2:12 p.m. Police arrived to a call of a fuel line being cut on a vehicle. The owner stated that it had to have been done in the past two days, and he had a possible suspect. Information was provided to police.
Noise complaint. 600 block of East Pioneer Avenue, 12:52 a.m. An ongoing problem of a vehicle parking outside and laying on their horn was investigated. After speaking to the female in the car, it was determined that she was having issues with ex-boyfriend having a new girlfriend. She was advised to move along.
Harassment. 400 block of West Spruce Avenue, 10:10 p.m. Caller advised police that her phone number is being given out and now she is receiving offensive text messages. She believes an ex-girlfriend of her brother is responsible.
She was advised to block the incoming numbers or obtain a no contact order.
