Thanks to law enforcement, Tacoma prosecutors for professional work in handling Chayson Colley murder
The Colley family is relieved to have come to this day of sentencing as quickly as possible of Jake Musga for the murder of Chayson Colley. We would like to thank the Pierce County judicial system, especially the judge and the prosecutor’s office. The staff of the prosecutor’s office have been very helpful and supportive. The Tacoma Police Department detectives who investigated this case were very professional, compassionate, and persistent. We thank them all from the bottom of our hearts for their work.
We have not had the opportunity to thank the first responders, fire department, and hospital staff who fought for Chayson’s life in his final hours. I have read the reports and accounts and I know these people gave everything they had to give in those hours. God bless you and thank you. It is a comfort to know that Chayson was in your caring hands at the end of his life.
We would like to thank our family, our many friends, our church, and even complete strangers who have rallied to our side during this devastating loss. We cannot imagine having to go through this without you.
We thank God for seeing us through this trying time. We would not have made it through without His grace, peace, and goodness. Chayson was and is a beautiful boy and a beautiful spirit. Our hearts are broken. We miss him every minute of every day. There are no words that can adequately convey our thoughts and emotions.
We ask that we be allowed to grieve and heal in peace.
