There has never been a conscious, deliberate attempt to deny Councilwoman Marisa Salzer her right of reasonable accommodations. It has always been about communications that have been previously discussed. I pledge to do everything thing legal and morally to respond to Marisa and any other person asking for accommodations at our meetings. We have already set up two interpreters for each of the next two meetings and we are working to get contracts with interpreters for the rest of the year and beyond.
I apologize to you, Marisa, and pray that we will be able to rebuild our friendship and mutual trust. I have enjoyed working with you before (via CCAP) and I know we can in the future. You are a good lady and good councilor, as I have told you and many others. I hope you will accept this offer of apology for any perceived or real offenses you believe we have committed and my promise that this will no longer be a problem.
