More should be done to deal with elk in Wynooche Valley

I read in The Vidette the story about the elk problem on the Wynooche. Now, I do not know what has been done, but I do have some suggestions: 1) Make the area a fire-arm restricted area; 2) Put permits in the area for the taking of cows; 3) make a late season and/or make several seasons to keep the pressure on the elk.

This last fall, there was a lady complaining to me about the elk on her place. I told them to contact the Department of Fish & Wildlife and let Master Hunters in and also a black powder season was running concurrently and she allowed one of those tags in. There were a total of eight elk taken and they finally got the message and left her alone.
