I saw so many ideas for Halloween at a recent bazaar I attended.
I took a few hours on Friday and drove to Little Rock for the Country Chick’s Bazaar and then to Olympia for a few groceries. The Country Chick’s Bazaar always has so many craft vendors, a fun few hours of looking and shopping. I saw so many ideas to decorate for Halloween, but by the time I returned home my mind went blank. Oh well. I did get my decorations out and put a large pumpkin outside so, we’re slowly getting ready for Halloween.
My husband, Jim, is home from the hospital and slowly getting his strength and a little energy back.
I had help from grandsons Ben and Jake in getting a few things picked up and put away for winter. There’s no frost yet, but I can almost smell it in the air. I want to wish a happy anniversary to our son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Shawn Borden.
On Sunday, at the Satsop Methodist Church, Barb Tarman, Linda Wilder and Rose and Angie Patton hosted the monthly breakfast. Pastor K is on vacation. Roy Rasanen led the service. The candles were lit by Dalton Combs and Oliver Vandewark. Roy Rasanen and Stephanie Parson put coins in for their birthdays. Francine Carpenter read the scriptures. Joys shared: Jim Borden home from hospital. Linda Wilder shared the joy and pictures of her new great-grandson, William Michael Wilder, born in Minot, N.D. Arline Tobola shared the joy that she will be heading to Pennsylvania to visit with daughter and family and spoil the new granddaughter. Arline asked for prayers for safe travels to and from Pennsylvania. The offering was collected by Mark Carpenter and Dalton Combs. Tami Combs asked for members to come at 1 p.m., Saturday to help with the cleaning of the kitchen and fellowship hall for the Harvest Dinner. Remember to come to Satsop on Tuesday, Oct. 15 for the Satsop United Methodist Harvest Dinner and Bazaar. Roast beef dinner is served from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
