Willie Davidson, age 90 passed away on April 28, 2013, at his home in Elma, Washington. He was born July 2, 1922, in Hazzard, Kentucky to Edward & Allie (Combs) Davidson and grew up in Montesano.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1942-1946 and was a POW Survivor in Bataan.
Willie worked for Lloyd Allen Logging out of Forks before starting his own company, Willie Davidson Logging, based out of Elma. He retired in July 1993.
He was a member of the Montesano VFW, enjoyed fishing, and was an avid baseball fan.
Willie is survived by his wife of 42 years, Phyllis C. Wiliams at the family home in Elma; sons, Claude and Michael; daughter, Judi; step-daughter, Marcia; sisters, Margaret, Dana, Dorothy Jean and Sharon; ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Tom; step-son, Bradley; and five brothers, Elmer, Orville, Ralph, Herman and Leniel.
There will be a Memorial Service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, at the Church of God in Elma, Washington, with Luann Houle officiating.
