Shannon Leigh Carter, 39, a lifelong Grays Harbor resident died March 16, 2014, in Sequim, Wash.
Shannon was born April 30, 1974, in Aberdeen, to Dell and Shelley Marie (Glenn) Carter. Shannon grew up in Elma and attended Elma High School. She attended Grays Harbor Community College. Shannon worked at a daycare, as a receptionist and was a waitress. She loved animals, reading, scrapbooking and was really good at writing. She always had a listening ear and brought encouragement to others.
Shannon is survived by her parents, Dell and Shelley Carter of Elma; daughter, Jessi Carter of Olympia; sons, Trevon Baker and Riley Rambert of Elma; her sister, Shadel Carter Thompson; and brothers, Jeremy and Jared Carter all of Elma.
A celebration of Shannon’s life will begin at 11a.m., on Saturday, March 29, 2014, at Abundant Life Church, 100 Technology Way, Elma, WA 98541, at the Satsop Development Park. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
