Jerry Lukin passed away at his home in Montesano on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at the age of 76.
Jerry is predeceased by his father, Nick Lukin; stepmother, Ethel Lukin; and brother, Melvin Lukin.
Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Karen, of 53 years; mother, Orvilla Miller; sisters, Nicolyn Lukin and Debbie Miller; daughter, Cindy Kerlee and her husband, Jamie both of Hawaii; son, Jay Lukin and wife, Diane both of Georgia; grandchildren, Mercedes Lukin and Taylor Hymas; several nieces and nephews; precious friends, Tim, Bev, Dawn and Carla; and Noochee beloved Golden Retriever.
Jerry was born May 8, 1937, in Aberdeen, to Nick Lukin and Orvilla Miller. He graduated from Aberdeen Weatherwax high school in 1955, and went on to serve his country by enlisting in the Navy from 1955-1959. After, Jerry spent most of his career as a journeyman electrician for IBEW Local Union 76.
Jerry enjoyed the blessings that life on the harbor brings: Stories abound of his fishing prowess, trout especially, boating and scuba diving adventures. Jerry was always enthusiastic to share a motorcycle ride with friends and family, or spend countless hours “fiddle-farting” in the great outdoors, either bark peeling, blackberry picking, or just gettingmuddy from head to toe. He will be greatly missed as the husband, father, grandfather and friend, that he was to each of us.
