Donald L. Heyer died Jan. 26, at his home in Elma. He was 92.
For the past five years he had resided in Elma, and previously had made his home in Kitsap and Mason counties. He served in World War II in the U.S. Air Force as a staff sergeant. He married Bette Horn on Dec. 10, 1948. They made their home in Manchester during which time he worked for Prices and Darigold dairies. He retired from Kitsap County Road Maintenance department and later moved to Grapeview.
He is survived by his wife, his sister Mary Jaine Cumbie of Gig Harbor, his daughter Carol Kniert of Elma, his son Jerry Heyer of Olympia, two granddaughters, one grandson, one great-granddaughter and three great-grandsons.
