Stephen Jay Fox, 68, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at his home in Montesano, Wash., after a battle with lung cancer. There will be a celebration of Steve’s life on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 11 a.m. at Fern Hill Funeral Home in Aberdeen with a reception to follow in the Dorothy Mann Reception Hall.
Per Steve’s request, donations in his remembrance can be sent to Harbors Home Health and Hospice at 201 7th St. Hoquiam, or PAWS of Grays Harbor at 801 W 1st St. Aberdeen, Wash.

Maxine Gueffroy, a longtime McCleary resident, died Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at her home. She was 76. Maxine was born June 29, 1938, at Taylor, Idaho to Durlin and Nilda (Cox) Wadsworth.
She graduated from South Bend High School in 1956. Maxine was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, entertaining friends and family and loving her children. She spent time outside gardening and working with horses. Memorial services for Maxine will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Stoller’s Mortuary in Raymond. Penny passed away July 10, 2014, in Rockledge, Fla. She was born in Los Angeles, Calif., on Jan. 15, 1968. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014, at Olympic Christian Center 117 S.W. 8th Street, McCleary, Wash. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow at the Fellowship Hall.
