Florence Brown of Eugene, Ore., formerly from Elma, died July 31, 2014. She was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Glasgow, Scotland. A graduate of Elma High School, she and husband Bob Brown owned The Valley Cleaners in Elma.
At Florence’s request there will be no funeral.
Gordon Charles Quarles of Aberdeen died on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Born and raised in the Enumclaw and Black Diamond areas, he moved to Aberdeen in 1989. He drove log trucks for 35 years for various companies.
He has family in Montesano, Aberdeen and elsewhere.
There will be a celebration of his life to be conducted at a later date.
Arrangements are by Harrison Family Mortuary of Montesano.
Thomas H. Morton, 74, a lifetime Hoquiam resident, died Friday, July 25, 2014, in Hoquiam. He was a graduate of Wishkah Valley High School. He worked at various mills on the Harbor, and retired as a security guard and was known to spend time at Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma.
He has family in Aberdeen, Elma and elsewhere. At his request, there will be no service.
Arrangements are by Whiteside in Aberdeen.
SEATTLE — Gregory Scott Holmes of Aberdeen died Saturday, July 26, 2014, at Northwest Hospital in Seattle. He was 52. He had worked as a card dealer at several casinos.
Cremation arrangements are by the Harrison Family Mortuary of Aberdeen.
