Raymond L. Cox
Longtime McCleary resident Raymond Lowell Cox, 96, died on June 25, 2014. Born in Oklahoma, he moved to Washington State in 1923.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army in the the Philippines and was part of the occupational and reconstruction forces after the surrender of Japan in 1945. He retired from Simpson Timber Company.
A graveside service for immediate family will be conducted at a date to be determined.
Donna M. Woods
Donna M. Woods, 87, of McCleary died on Sunday, June 22, 2014, in Elma.
She grew up in the Omak area. When she moved to Seattle, she worked for Boeing and also worked as a secretary in California for a time.
A graveside service of inurnment will be held at a later date in Omak.
Arrangements are by Coleman Mortuary of Hoquiam.
Calla “Jean” Dahlin
Longtime Montesano resident Calla “Jean” Dahlin, 89, died at her home on June 15.
After high school, she worked for Boeing in Seattle where she worked on the assembly of B-17 and B-29 bombers until the end of the war.
She came to live in Montesano with her husband and was active for more than 50 years with the Montesano United Methodist Church, which is where her memorial service was conducted on Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m.
