Student plant sales soon
The Elma High School FFA Chapter is hosting its annual Elma FFA spring plant sale May 5 through May 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The greenhouse is located behind the high school, near Davis Field. There will be a variety of hanging baskets, zonal geraniums, begonias, impatiens, petunias, trailing plants and more.
Meanwhile, the Montesano High FFA Club is conducting its annual plant sale May 2 through May 9. There will be hanging baskets along with sunflowers, geraniums, marigolds, dianthus, petunias, begonias, lobelia, hotlips and pansies. There will also be a number of color bowls made up with a variety of flowers. For all the vegetable growers, there are starts of cabbage, romaine lettuce, spinach, green peppers, cucumbers, cilantro, chives and tomatoes. The high school greenhouse will be open Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, May 5-9, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Wishkah kindergarten roundup set for May 15
Wishkah Valley School District will host kindergarten round-up from 6 to 7 p.m., Thursday, May 15, in Room 14. All 5-year-olds and their parents are invited to attend and hear details of the all day kindergarten program. For more information, call 532-3128.
