SATSOP — The Elma FFA Forestry, Agriculture, and Resource Management or FARM team organized a day of fun and learning at the Goeres Dairy farm on April 24.
Providing tours for 102 kindergarteners the Elma FFA FARM students taught a little about agriculture and where milk comes from. Students were able to see the milking parlor, visit the calf barn, learn about medicines to keep cows healthy and took a ride on a hay wagon to view the rest of the farm.
According to Grays Harbor Dairy Ambassador, Colby Trusty, “I had an amazing time with these students. It was such a beautiful day and the students had a blast.”
Trusty was on hand to help lead part of the tour and to pass out temporary dairy themed tattoos.
