March 15

Agency assist. Evergreen Mobile Home. 12:25 p.m. Officers responded to a structure fire arriving before the fire department. The officers contacted the residents of the trailer who advised they were cooking on the stove in the kitchen and had fallen asleep. The residents said they woke up to thick smoke and only had time to exit the home. Flames were visible from the middle of the structure.

March 16

Theft. 500 Block Medcalf Street. 2:22 p.m. Individual reports a mountain bike was taken during the night from the carport. He had ridden the bike the day before and forgot to lock it. The value of the bike is $100.

March 17

Suspicion. 600 Block W. Marcy Avenue. 7:25 a.m. A woman was walking her dogs in the alley behind her house and said there was a male going through the neighbors’ garbage.

Theft. 100 Block S. 7th Street. 2:20 p.m. Vehicle was prowled.

March 19

Theft. Broadway and Church. 6:15 p.m. An employee of NAPA advised that he thought a female was coming into the store and stealing items then coming back later to return the items for cash.

March 20

Assault with knife. 500 Block W. Marcy Avenue. 8:27 p.m. An individual is threatening another person with a knife.

Controlled substance problem. Montesano High School. 10:39 a.m. A student was found with a homemade marijuana pipe in a pocket.

March 21

Juvenile problem. Montesano High School. 10:01 a.m. A student reported that another student is carrying a knife and is refusing to leave the classroom.

Information report. 200 Block S. Glenn Steet. 11:49 a.m. An individual reported underage drinking at location during the previous evening. One individual was taken to the hospital for alcohol poisioning.

March 22

Disorderly conduct. 300 Block W. Beacon Avenue. 8:15 p.m. An individual reports she was trying to lock the softball field and got into a verbal altercation with another individual who took a lock and chain from her.

March 23

Traffic offense. Main Street and Boat Launch Road. 2:35 p.m. A Cosmopolis police officer reported a reckless driver who he was unable to catch up to which a Montesano officer then stopped and arrested for driving with a suspended license. While frisking the individual, the officer found a glass pipe that could be used for smoking methamphetamines.

March 25

Controlled substance problem. Montesano High School. 11:53 a.m. Marijuana and a pipe were confiscated from a student.
