Union Gospel Mission plans holiday events

The Union Gospel Mission will be holding its yearly Birthday Party For Jesus from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Sons of Norway hall, 714 Randall in Aberdeen. Children from Aberdeen who are 10 or younger are invited for hot dogs, chips, birthday cake, games and a visit from Santa. The party is to help those in need at Christmas. Gifts are given out at the end of the party. Volunteers from New Beginnings Open Bible in Aberdeen and the Grays Harbor Rodeo Court will be helping at the event.

On Thursday, Dec. 19, the mission will hold a Christmas party for homeless and low-income adults at 6 p.m., in the Rotary Log Pavilion. Dinner will be served, gifts will be handed out, Christmas carols will be song sung and a religious message will be given.
