A log truck rolled onto its side on Cosi Hill Monday afternoon, partially blocking the road for nearly four hours, according to the Washington State Patrol.
A 47-year-old Montesano man was driving the truck north on Highway 101 and attempted to pass another commercial vehicle at about 1:40 p.m. Monday, the State Patrol memo said. As he moved to pass, the logs began to sway, causing the truck to roll onto its side.
The roadway was partially blocked for three hours and 40 minutes. The State Patrol reported the cause of the crash was Trout driving too fast, and said charges are pending.
