Montesano City Administrator Kristy Powell is being honored with another award for the way Powell presents and organizes the city’s budget.
After being recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada, Powell is now being honored by the Washington Finance Officers Association with a “distinguished budget award.”
A letter from the organization notes Powell is receiving “the highest form of recognition in fiscal planning and budgeting within the state of Washington.”
“In order to earn this award, the budget documents are critiqued by no less than two reviewers who have rated the document as meeting or exceeding a proficiency level,” the letter states. “Your document has met all the criteria for the award.”
