MONTESANO — The Montesano Chamber of Commerce has moved its office to Monte Square in the business of Marni’s Petal Pushers flower shop. The move wascompleted on Sept. 1.

Chamber President Dennis Brumbaugh says the office has been hopping locations due to alternating hours at local businesses. At one point it was at the Abel House, but the owners there are selling the business. Brumbaugh tried it a couple other places, but hours were never consistent.

Marni and Don Sandifur volunteered their flower shop, which is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. The address is 100 Brumfield Ave,m Suite No. 5 in Montesano. The office has a Chamber phone, which is still (360) 249-5522. The office serves as an information center for those looking to connect with local businesses or find a specific need in town.

“It will also give us some front window exposure and a rack brochure,” Brumbaugh said. “We used to have an office in that area and the public still looks for us there. We’ll put up some sign boards in front directing people to that location. … We’re trying to get it more accessible to folks coming into town.”

Marni says the flower and gift shop has been at the Monte Square location for two years. Many years ago, the Chamber had a full-time visitor center at the location.

“Years and years later, people used to the visitor center still come here looking and are surprised to find us with our flowers,” Marni said.

“I love helping out the community and supporting our local businesses,” she said. “I want people to come here so I can direct them to the other businesses in town.”
